Media Advisory: Raytheon and Student Veterans of America to announce the establishment of Raytheon Patriot Scholarship during AUSA

WHAT:

Raytheon Company, in partnership with Student Veterans of America (SVA), will announce a new scholarship program to benefit U.S. Army student veterans at the 2014 AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington, D.C.




Raytheon will award $20,000 in scholarships to soldiers who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university. Named the Raytheon Patriot Scholarship for the company's Patriot Air and Missile Defense System, the program offers returning soldiers an opportunity to achieve their higher educational goals and position themselves for success in civilian professions.




The announcement at AUSA will serve to notify eligible candidates of the available scholarship and the beginning of application acceptance via the SVA website on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2014.
