WALTHAM, Mass., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The nonprofit advocacy group Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has named Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) as a 2016 "Best Place to Work" for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees. The Washington, D.C.-based HRC gave Raytheon a perfect 100 percent rating for the eleventh consecutive year.
HRC, the largest LGBT civil rights group in the U.S., surveyed 1,027 businesses for its annual Corporate Equality Index. The survey evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.
